About me.
I'm a student at SAIT and an entrepreneur based in Calgary. Right now, I'm building my first business, Union Paint, a residential painting company, and learning what it really takes to turn an idea into something real.
Entrepreneurship has always been part of my life. Growing up, I watched my dad build and run businesses, and seeing the work, responsibility, and commitment that went into it inspired me to follow a similar path. From an early age, I was usually the first to take initiative, whether that meant starting a project, organizing something, or finding a better way to get things done.
Today, that drive has turned into a goal: building businesses that create value while constantly challenging myself to learn and grow.
What I'm building
I'm currently focused on growing Union Paint, a residential painting company that serves homeowners throughout Calgary. This is my first real business, and every estimate, customer conversation, and completed project teaches me something new.
While painting is the service I provide, the bigger goal is learning how to build and operate a successful business. Every job is an opportunity to improve my skills, earn trust, and become a better entrepreneur.
How I think
I believe that if you want something worthwhile, you have to be willing to work for it. Success doesn't come overnight, and I'm not looking for shortcuts. I'd rather stay consistent, keep showing up, and improve a little every day.
I'm also a hands-on learner. I learn best by doing, making mistakes, asking questions, and applying those lessons to the next challenge. Experience has always been my best teacher, and I believe taking action is the fastest way to grow.
Current goals
Right now, growth matters less to me than what I'm learning along the way. These are the things I'm actively working on with Union Paint.
Strengths
I've developed a combination of business, creative, and technical skills that help me solve problems, communicate effectively, and bring ideas to life.
Business
Learning how to understand customers' needs, communicate value, and build trust through my business.
Providing clear communication, professionalism, and a positive experience from start to finish.
Taking initiative, leading by example, and helping move projects forward.
Showing up consistently and putting in the effort it takes to get a job done right, not just done fast.
Creative
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, creating logos, branding, and marketing materials.
Building clean, functional websites with a focus on user experience, branding, and responsive design.
Technical
I enjoy building, repairing, and figuring out how things work. I'm always looking for practical solutions.
I've explored coding and enjoy learning how software works behind the scenes. I'm always looking to expand my technical skills.
Whether it's business, technology, or a new trade, I'm always looking for opportunities to learn and improve.
Outside of work
When I'm not studying or working on my business, you'll usually find me skiing. I love spending time at Sunshine Village and Lake Louise, and there's nothing better than a day in the mountains.
I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. They keep me grounded and remind me that building a business is only one part of building a meaningful life.
Looking ahead
After graduating from SAIT, my plan is simple: dedicate myself full-time to growing my company. My goal is to continue expanding the business, serve more customers, and keep learning as I take on bigger challenges.
This website is where I'll share that journey, the projects I'm working on, the lessons I learn, and the progress I make along the way. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll follow along.
